Scott Lawrence
P. Scott Lawrence was born in Granby, Quebec and educated at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, and Concordia University in Montreal where he received an M.A. in English (creative writing) in 1984. Since then he has taught creative writing workshops at Concordia and worked as a freelance writer for a variety of publications. For a while he was also the small-press columnist for the Montreal Gazette. He has written two collections of short fiction, Around the Mulberry Tree (Exile Editions 1984) and Missing Fred Astaire (Véhicule 1993), winner of the 1994 QSPELL fiction award. He is the editor of Souvenirs: New English Fiction from Quebec (Cormorant Books 1987). He lives in Montreal.
