D.G. Jones
Celebrated poet D.G. Jones was born in Ontario but has spent over three decades in Montreal. He has won the Governor General's Award three times (for poetry in 1977 and 1993 and for translation in 1993). He has also won two QSPELL Awards and the A.J.M. Smith Award for his poetry. Jones retired from teaching at L’Université de Sherbrooke in 1994. He now lives in North Hatley, where he continues as editorial advisor and translator for the magazine Ellipse. His latest work is Grounding Sight (Empyreal Press, 1999).
