Peter Behrens is a Montrealer who wrote the short story collection Night Driving (published by Macmillan). He also won a National Magazine Award for a memoir about his father in Saturday Night. He's a Hollywood scriptwriter now, and he's finishing a historical novel about the Irish in Montreal. He has recently been doing an on-the-road in Canada and the US series for the Gazette and the National Post. As Terry Byrnes comments, "hes a very peripatetic guy, not always resident in Montreal, but totally almost obsessively of this place."
